Shahrzad

We were lucky to be able to keep the family tradition of travelling by car from Montreal to Charlotte (since two years we found route 81 faster, pleasant and more direct), 4 days round trip to stay 3 days with our family during Christmas. One day in the plain to Paris  I was wondering if we should do this trip again which was quite hard by car but by chance I was reading a magazine and found an article written  by a psychologist says that it is very important to create a tradition in the family and do it each time because this brings harmony and ties families together. Since, I never douted that we needed to keep this tradition which kept not only us together but for the kids who did not see each other that often it was a good occasion to feel the spirit of the family which ties them together by heart. I recommand it to all families and besides that being 4 days in a car together four of us, there are lots to say and share and at the end (also end of the year), things to clear and clean up and start the year on clear bases! I know that we are far from being an standard normal family because four of us have our own characters but I found these sharing moments like being in a cocoon together trying to find some ways to be closer and it is so helpful,
Happy New Year 2013 to all of us and lots of understanding, wisdom, sharing and compromises for all for a better humanity! and so for the earth and its habitants and so on....Shahrzad

Our beautiful surprise: on the way back, Bahram decided to drive in a historical town which was really beautiful for finding a restaurant to eat...big surprise, my flair could recognize a special place, an old production of natural seeds factory! Beautiful ambiance, great service and food, it was our treat!

Beautiful moments with Ocean & Brilliant-summer 2012

The grand adorable daughters of Lily, Ocean & Brilliant had come to Montréal to visit their family and friends. Hôtel was so busy and no time for me to organize something with them. It came to my mind to invite them to my ballet classes, they really did wonderfully, it was so fun! Then, I invited them to my singing classes, and they were also great and enjoyed playing with Snoop and Puzchi!
Very interested and so talented, kind and generous, I really enjoyed both of you!
And when I finally saw Lily who gave me the beautiful gifts and the thank you card, I melted of joy! I love the châle and so great the little bag and the beautiful card!  Thanks to both of you, see you soon back! Shahrzad

Happy birthday my dear friend Terry

To my very dear friend, Terry

Friendship,

The wind blows through time,
Washes away most of our memories,
What will be only left,
Is the strongest of our feelings...
The most unpleasant ones,
And,,
The most pleasant ones...
What will be left of our relationships,
Is the friendship,
The tie that had kept us together,
Despite of time!

How can it be possible,
Living so far,
Not even seeing each other again,
But, still caring about the other,
Be closer than all those who had been so close to us?
This is a real friendship.

Happy birthday my dear friend,
The one who had always decided
From the most unpleasant experiences,
To be the master of her destiny,
I follow the dignity, the Grace Love...

I am so proud of you,
With all respect that I have for you,
As one of the strongest and the most exceptional person of my life,
And I hope,
We will meet and both of us will talk,
Talk about Life,
Talk about Passion,
Talk about our experiences...
And we can walk in Silence of listening to the symphony of Love...

Your friend forever,
Shahrzad

Here the best version of Both Sides now for me, a song that I find interesting for you my dear friend:

Quel miracle,
Toucher le bonheur, vivre la Joie...

Plus l'énergie de rire est grande,
Plus le champs est immense,
Et, plus ton Coeur grandi,
Plus tu vois,
Tu touche,
Tu entends,
Proche, autour, loins
Et, audela de loins...
Sommes-nous des soleils?
Sommes-nous sommes des lunes?
Et, oui,
Et, oui,
Et, ouiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....!

I found this message amazing

Bonjour, good morning,

I woke up at 5:30 a.m willing to find an exercise I had received long ago about how to improve memory and avoid Alzheimer to send it to someone and instead  I found a message from my dear one of a kind and kind singing good friends. Some people send some message which is discriminating (women of men) but I found this interesting because lots of women have had hard time to allowed to make decisions. I believe that each person needs to make her/his decisions if the person is educated to take right decision with wisdom, man or woman, kid or old, poor or rich....this is the human's right. In many cases, men have been educated in a way that they believe they can only make decisions- regardless of being able or not to make wise decisions or not. I suppose we can leave decisions by Intuition aside (even though I suppose Wisdom might have connections with Intuition!)...
Women can make right or wrong decisions, the most important is to learn how to make decisions even though they might be stupid or wrong but like all other aspects of us, we can develop it.
Another most important point is that we all should learn to know that others can help us when we have problem with making decisions, in that case, I suggest to choose the most appropriate person, man or woman, poor or rich but the one who can be more helpful rather than cofusing  than harmful! This is the way we learn how to make appropriate decisions...

The Moon like the Sun has its own influences on the earth and
its beauty and its mysteries have influenced imagination of lots of poets, artistes, story tellers...
much more the the Sun!

Thank you Jane!
Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.

The question?....What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.

Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer.

But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.

The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first.

The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend!

Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.

He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur .

He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.

Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus:

What a woman really wants, she answered...is to be in charge of her own life.

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared.

And so it was, the neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened

The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half.

Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night?

Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments?

What would YOU do?

What Lancelot chose is below. BUT....make YOUR choice before you scroll down below. OKAY?

Noble Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself.

Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now....what is the moral to this story?
Scroll down

 The moral is.....

If you don't let a woman have her own way....

Things are going to get ugly

A great discovery at Afsaneh & Kamaran's house, one of the most beautiful portraits painted by an Iranian woman painter, Afsaneh's grand-mother by Afsaneh's grand-grand-mother, the daughter of one of the most talented Iranian Painters...

Bonne Fête-oHappy birthday dear Afsaneh-

Afsaneh joon, it was such a wonderful dinner at Toucheh Iranian restaurant and then our herbal tea at your beautiful house!
I love the arrangements in your condo done by Guity and specially you had her painting, one of my favorites which had given so much beauty and grace to your interior!

I was so absolutly impressed by the portrait of your beautiful Grandma painted by your grand-grand mother (the daughter of Kamalol Molk, the famous Iranian painter!?!). I loved it! Pleeeeeeeeeeeease, restore it by a good professional and keep it as a Art treasure of your family and Iran (how many Iranian women painters Iran had known before now?). I felt so proud and loved the beauty of your grand mother and the talent of your grand grand mother!

It was great, Bahram and I, we both enjoyed the evening with you and our precious friends Guiti and Houshang.
Here a few pictures to remember your birthday together....

Joni Mitchell Both Sides, Now Lyrics

Songwriters: MITCHELL, JONI
Bows and flows of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way

But now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way

I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It's cloud illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all

Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels
The dizzy dancing way you feel
As every fairy tale comes real
I've looked at love that way

But now it's just another show
You leave 'em laughing when you go
And if you care, don't let them know
Don't give yourself away

I've looked at love from both sides now
From give and take, and still somehow
It's love's illusions I recall
I really don't know love at all

Tears and fears and feeling proud
To say "I love you" right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds
I've looked at life that way

Oh but now old friends are acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I've changed
Well something's lost but something's gained
In living every day

I've looked at life from both sides now
From WIN and LOSE and still somehow
It's life's illusions I recall
I really don't know life at all

I've looked at life from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's life's illusions I recall
I really don't know life at all

One unforgettable morning with the talented artist Anna Franklin

After a few weeks of absence from Tai-chi, I could finally go to Victoria Hall Thursday morning to see my friends and do Tai-chi. When we finished I saw Hanna Franklin for the ballet Jazz class. We talked and I told her that there was no jazz class that morning. When I saw her deception, I told her,'If you want we can practice some ballet together'.
She smilled and said ,'Great!'.

We enjoyed each of our pliés, pirouettes, frappés..in such a great harmony while chatting. I said to Hanna that I regretted not being able to go to her vernissage but I could still see it after and it was amazing....and, I suggested to go to the Gallery and make some photos of her.
Here the photos and I enjoyed each moment of them with you Hanna...a private tour of Hanna's art!

Please, visit Hanna Franklin's works by clicking on:

About Me

Canada
